Testimonials

Don’t take our word for it, see what our Koa families have to say about their experience with our school.
“We have 3 kids, Grade 7, 8 and 10, each with completely different characters, personalities and learning styles. Kao has allowed them each to grow and thrive in their own way. The way the courses and curriculum is set up has helped my children grow in confidence and skills. The approach of the team at Kao towards future proofing kids with skills they will actually use in their adult lives, skills that will set them apart from their peers, amazes me.”

“Koa Academy has been an answer to prayer for our family. As we searched for a trusted school system and curriculum to stay connected to from abroad, Koa offered exactly what we needed. Our child has truly blossomed, thriving academically, growing in leadership, and even flourishing socially. Koa gets it right. We’re so thankful for the innovation, care, and structure the school provides. Communication is excellent; I’m able to reach out to the headmaster or teachers and always receive a timely, thoughtful response. Thank you, Koa.”

“Koa Academy - A perfect precursor to tertiary education and life. I came from a mainstream school to Koa in matric which, at first, stressed me out. Could I do online school, could I adapt to a new way of learning and a different way of teaching?

However, with Koa’s excellent teachers and easy educational platforms I was able to catch on quickly and achieve excellence. Not only have the self-studying aspects of Koa prepared me for the intensity of a Bachelor of Science at The University of Cape Town but they also taught me to prioritize my work. The problem solving and motivational skills that Koa taught me have been implemented into my personal life from international solo travel to etiquette in the workspace.

Time management is crucial in all spheres of life and this became clear to me at Koa where an app called “Clockify” was used to manage time and prioritize specific subjects. I still use and rave about this app in my studies.

The flexibility of work hours at Koa allowed me to continue to work hard and achieve in surfing where I was able to get adequate exercise each day, represent my province in SA junior surfing champs and SA open champs in my matric year. I found this balance crucial for hard work and motivation.

Whatever my reasons were for choosing Koa, it was the right choice, and I am forever grateful for the opportunities and skills they have provided."

“We have loved the dynamic learning that Koa encourages. This is not classroom education reworked, this is Education 2.0, wonderfully thought out and executed. Koa also goes beyond the simple transference of knowledge - they take a deep interest in each child: their lives, their loves and their joys and struggles. We are very thankful to be a part of Koa.”
